"It's in dependence on a pair that consciousness comes into play. And how does consciousness come into play in dependence on a pair? In dependence on the eye & forms there arises eye-consciousness. The eye is inconstant, changeable, of a nature to become otherwise. Forms are inconstant, changeable, of a nature to become otherwise.

"Es ist in Abhängigkeit eines Paare, daß Bewußtsein ins Spiel kommt. Und wie kommt Bewußtsein in Abhängigkeit eines Paares ins Spiel? In Abhängigkeit von Auge und Form ist da Aufkommen von Auge-Bewußtsein. Das Auge ist unbeständig, veränderlich, von einer Natur, anders zu werden. Formen sind unbeständig, veränderlich, von einer Natur, anders zu werden.

Bewußtsein, auch wenn für viññāṇaṃ gerne gebraucht, ist nicht gut, da Be-wußt-sein viel besser für ārammaṇa. Aus der jeweiligen (Für)wahrnehmung, besser aus dem jeweiligen (Für)Wahrnehmen (viññāṇa), ergibt sich jeweiliges Bewußt-"Sein", besser Bewußt-machen oder Bewußt-machung (ārammaṇa).

Ārammaṇa
Ārammaṇa (nt.) [cp. Sk. ālambana, lamb, but in meaning confounded with rambh (see rabhati)] primary meaning "foundation", from this applied in the foll. senses: (1) support, help, footing, expedient, anything to be depended upon as a means of achieving what is desired, i. e. basis of operation, chance Sn 1069 (= ālambana, nissaya, upanissaya Nd2 132); Pv i.41 (yaŋ kiñcɔ ārammaṇaŋ katvā); ārammaṇaŋ labhati (+ otāraŋ labhati) to get the chance S ii.268; iv.185. -- (2) condition, ground, cause, means, esp. a cause of desire or clinging to life, pl. ˚ā causes of rebirth (interpreted by taṇhā at Nd1 429), lust Sn 474 (= paccayā SnA 410), 945 (= Nd1 429); KhA 23; DhA i.288 (sappāy˚); PvA 279. -- (3) a basis for the working of the mind & intellect; i. e. sense -- object, object of thought or consciousness, the outward constituent in the relation of subject & object, object in general. In this meaning of "relation" it is closely connected with āyatana (see āyatana3), so that it sometimes takes its place, it is also similar to visaya. Cpd. 3 distinguishes a 5 fold object, viz. citta, cetasika, pasāda -- & sukhuma -- rūpa, paññatti, nibbāna. Das Bewußtsein ist jedoch bereits mit den anderen Festhalteansammlungen (khandhā) vermengt, und wie jedes Sein im Bereich von Lebewesen, sattā.

Man könnte Bewissen ohne Sein, oder natürlich auch eine noch kongretere Übersetzung wie "Kennen(wissen) durch Sehen", "Erkennen" oder "Erkenntnis" verwenden. Augeerkennen, Augenerkenntnis, Augewahrnehmung, Augefüwahrnehmung + Unwissenheit (avijjā), ergibt entsprechendes Bewußtsein, ārammaṇa, Lokuttārammaṇa (Überweltliches Bewußtsein), lokārammaṇa (sechs Sinnesbewußtsein, Weltl. Bewußtsein).

Im Englischen ist also auch "cognizance" gegenüber "consciousness" für viññāṇā vorzuziehen.

Interessant vielleicht, daß das Wort ārammaṇa scheinbar nur im Khuddakanikāya, und nur in den noch nicht oder kaum übersetzten Büchern vorkommt und scheinbar "Bewußtsein" erst spätere Prägung im Erläutern hat.

"And what is name-&-form? Feeling, perception, intention, contact, & attention: This is called name. The four great elements, and the form dependent on the four great elements: This is called form. This name & this form are called name-&-form.

Katamañca bhikkhave nāmarūpaṃ? Vedanā saññā cetanā phasso manasikāro, idaṃ vuccati nāmaṃ. Cattāro  ca mahābhūtā, catunnaṃ ca mahābhūtānaṃ upādāyarūpaṃ, idaṃ vuccati rūpaṃ. Iti idañca nāmaṃ, idañca rūpaṃ, idaṃ vuccati bhikkhave, nāmarūpaṃ.

Nāmā, sometimes even nāmarūpa is often mistakenly taken as "consciousness" viññāṇa, but actually is just knowing or recognizind on one of the sense medias, giving the base for nāmarūpa.

"And what is consciousness? These six are classes of consciousness: eye-consciousness (knowing, seeing, recognizing on the eye), ear-consciousness (knowing, seeing/hearing, recognizing on the ear), nose-consciousness, tongue-consciousness, body-consciousness, intellect-consciousness (knowing, seeing, recognizing on the intelect). This is called consciousness.

Katamañca bhikkhave viññāṇaṃ? Chayime bhikkhave, viññāṇakāyā: cakkhuviññāṇaṃ sotaviññāṇaṃ ghāṇaviññāṇaṃ jivhāviññāṇaṃ kāyaviññāṇaṃ manoviññāṇaṃ. Idaṃ vuccati bhikkhave, viññāṇaṃ.

If mind (nāmā), or better "Not knowing", avijjā, "is" touched by any sense impression (e.g. rūpa), with touch has it, the world, as "object" (ārammaṇa, base, fundation, "place"to expand or come into being) and nāmarūpa (e.g. that what is called consciousness in common uninstructed way) takes place.

Not touching avijjā any more, having nibbāna as ārammaṇa, (a "touch" on vijjā by yoniso manasikāra), this is sometimes named as knowing, recognizing or consciousness without surface by the Buddha.

To distinguish that well, the use of consciousness should only be done, if the adressed knows that it is viññāṇa the talk is about and what might be the distinction to certain kind of wordly being (e.g. nāmarūpa).

Meinereiner ist so schnell ie noch nie genesen. Die Symptome des Befalls nur 2 Tage, und die üblichen 5 Tage um das Medikament zu überstehen. Atma ist gerade wohl auf und auch das ist wie für alle nicht sicher. Nutze den Tag heißt vorallem über Alter, Krankheit und Tod, wie Alternative z

..wäre es nicht passend "Gestehen" anzunehmen, selbes Ups habend. Jedoch ist es in dem Fall ja noch gut gegangen und daher Grund für gemeinsames "gerade noch" und Mudita. Gut das gewisse Verbindungen und Wahrnehmen nicht abreißt (reißen kann) und absehbar passiert.

Atma war, aus irgend einem Grund, fest überzeugt, das gestern Uposatha sein sollte, trotzdem er am Almosengang gar Laien in Wat ziehen sah (denkend, gut auch heute an punna teilzunehmen). Selbigem Thema gegegnend, sah Atma nach und mußte feststellen, das bereits der 16. war. So zu diesem Ausmaß (
