Having been up at the upper Kuit's building side with the Upasaka who gave color for the Buddha (he was by the way encouraged not to delegate the work but best spending a day with 8 Silas and do it by himself, not only to get known the reality of generosity alone just heats up Samsara) my person saw that the sand begs disappeared around the sand, and rain and nature would soon take them back or hurting each other might go on later if other beings start to dwell, and the door and windows might be soon subject to white ants... it's probably good to try to move the lay-followers material on safe place the next days, so that scarifies are not needed to do again.

The last five bags Atma left as they are, since having a lot of Dwellers already under them incl. "elephant-scorpion".

The devoted lay peoples material should be secure for a while now, possible till new year stress is over.

Having wondered about the intensive sweet smell the last days, a certain kind of orchidee started to blossom.

Btw. just for information. The sand will be not enough to finish the Kuti. Maybe one or two motor-cows, some 50 good bags more needed for total finishing.

Always around and next... Geckos (Tokay in Khmer, hearing "tokay... tokay" not "gecko... gecko"). People generally fear them, because they can bit quite strongly and scream terrible when on fight.

The New Year holidays already began here, usually 2 weeks+ on the country side... and rushing children and teens on motorbikes are everywhere present.

Atma often enjoys a rest at Nyom Chanroth house after a far alms round. His small little business producing and selling sugar can juice aside of rice works well out for them at this times and constantly busy therefore. Mudita, so far. Nevertheless the Noble Truth are not gone by that and Upasaka gravely suffers from on infected front teeth, swollen eye, strong swollen face, this days. He tries to take it as good as possible. Not yet, Nyom.

the donor left the color beside the images. He asked for the number of Nyom Chanroth , all spoke how it could be made and showing joy, but probably all think the other will do, "leaving "tell me, if the is to less color" behind, saying Ven. Ta Ung would organize more if needed. Very silent and people around either in stress or already have left back to the home villages, city...

As it seems that the color is to be seen as left behind (since nothing concrete was asked or told), everybody may feel free to make use of it and paint it if wishing.

At the alms round Atma was approached by Nyom Chanroth , who informed that he is on (now some help of his stepson?) to make another load of bricks since the cement grows slowly brocken. Going down to bring the recycling thing down to the village street to get ride of it, Atma thought of carry some cement up. Nyom spontaniously brought a bag till the hills foot and so Atma could carry it up and started to fix the importand things before the rains.

The nights are noisy at this time, mice hunting and playing with each other, digging holes right next the bad, no fear at all, but after the rain the snakes come another time, and they will again forget the dangers. Frogs leaving in the evening and come back into the cave in the morning... coming and going all around.

This morning the village priest (after 3 years the first time, who once lead my person toward this place) came with three other people from Takeo, early in the morning as Atma just was on leaving for alms, who yesterday donated a Copy of Tipitaka in the south monastery, having a large fest, got known the place and listened long and very hard to take Dhamma joyfully before turning to usual.

The work of yesterday got only a little damaged on small parts by the strong rains of the evening and night. The wild Bodhitree grows strong and will be soon the main shadow giver of the Kuti, also the small planted had become its first leaves.

The roof and some other small parts have still to be finished so that the water will not damage the walls on long terms.

Walking back, crossing Nyom Chanroths house, who just worked to collect sand, this coworker behind, that the rain brought right into his compound that night, my person had stop and tell/ask him:

"You have to think carefully how it comes... Now, having just a lousy house anywhere and yet: At the same time, the sand and other support flows by it's own right into it...", rejoicing, knowing his constant "luck" with proper gratitude, he smiles with approve and Atma walked on without waiting.
