Mr. Effenberger was very endeavor to make everything in the right way and thought a lot of who he could do best to make it useable for Monks and Nuns. He even wished to ask everybody in detail which language and system he/she runs and would even have send all directly. History:

Anagarika, busy in developing this Area, Samana searched for a way, that there could be no possible problem for the Sangha members and stepped as many times back, to ask (at least still formal like today no member of the monastic Bhikkhu-Sangha).

Here the whole email traffic in its regard, so that your Ven. Sirs, Ven. Bhikkhus, could look if it is receivable according your tradition(s).

For all possible mistakes, my person is the only responsible.

Sehr geehrtes Komitee von "The Document Foundation"

Sehr geehrter Florian Effenberger,

Offerings for the Sangha - Gaben an die Sangha (sanghika dana)

Florian Effenberger

Quote from: Johann Brucker 4/28/2013 5:32 PM
Sehr geehrter Florian Effenberger,

Florian Effenberger

Sehr geehrter Herr Effenberger,

Manche möchten ihnen vielleicht keine Serverressourcen kosten.

Sehr geehrter Herr Brucker,

Florian Effenberger

Ehrenwerte Bhikkhus,
ehrenwerte Bhikkhunis,
ehrenwerte Dhammika und Dhammiknis,
werte Dhammafreunde,

(since we try to stay bilingual, the English version is found below)

Venerable Bhikkhus,
venerable Bhikkhunis,
honorable Dhammika and Dhammiknis,
valued Dhamma friends,

to inform yourself about all the previous publications since the start you may find a nearly complete listing at the start page of ZzE (EN look for DE as well) which will be just occasionally actualized.  Remarks about fresh publications you may find in the topic:  Neue Veröffentlichungen auf ZzE - New publications on Zze .

Next to the adjustment of numerous translations, many of them originated from the generous group around the "Buddhistischen Gemeinschaft München" and many single translations from valued Lothar Schenk, we have been able to adopt a maybe not so common work for further sharing and a gifted and generous reader did even put his effort into translating it into German language.

Next to the sometimes even bombastic and to its very detail itemized works found in the Dhamma selections, this work is meant to give a short and simple introduction to Vipassana-Meditation and could be a real alternative especially for Newcomers but also for many how actually got somehow lost in outer details.

I am very glad that I am not only able to point out the work of the Canadian born Ven. Bhante Yuttadhammo, but also to be able to forward, share and give it to your with the blessing of the author as well with the wish of the generous translator:

How to meditate - A Beginner's Guide To Peace,
by Yuttadhammo Bhikkhu (2013; 17 pp./77KB) [PDF icon]
>     In this small booklet the author gives, in a very concise and succinct manner, an introduction to Vipassana meditation, as taught by Mahasi Sayadaw. The beginner is introduced into the method in a very instructive and detailled manner, so that he, if he follows it attentively step by step, keeps no doubt as to what is to do. Explained are sitting meditation, walking meditation and mindful prostration, which are detailled one after the other as building blocks for structuring the practice, complete with instructions on how to best integrate them. Each of these chapters concludes with a friendly challenge to take a moment and try the practice out for oneself before reading further. In this way one receives a swift and pragmatic introduction. At the end of the book follow, after a retrospective discussion of the theoretical background for deepening one's understanding, some practical possibilities on how to continue the meditation practice into one's normal everyday life, as well as advice regarding conduct of life which is helpful for the continuance of the meditation practice and the development of its full potential.

For eventually further handling and arrangement or even for preparation for prints, you may find als a odt-file of the booklet (especially for works around Buddha, Dhamma Sangha offerent Office software open to use, you may find here: "LibreOffice" für die Sangha und für buddhistische Laien)

Given with both hands, may you accept it.

Dear Ben,

some days ago, Mr. Florian Effenberger as a representative manager of the undertaking "The Document Foundation " has given consciously the whole product palette for the monastic Sangha and has furthermore given it also free to use for the whole Buddhist Laity community consciously (!).

I thought it would be more than useful within your community as well to provide people who are up to good work, to be able to do it without the need of taking what is not given and maybe one or the other has not the money to buy such.

It is hereby given for the community of DW as well. May you accept the gift personal and/or may you forward it to the receiver.

Sadhu!

Maybe you need to explain, that even it is usual to take what is not given, a Monk would not be allowed to do so, and somebody who abstains from giving would not take (download it).
There is no such as a common possession, and monks would not be able to take what is around like layman have agreed with each other.

So this gifts are consciously directed to the Sangha and in this case also to the Buddhist lay community. As well as the forward is a consciously act and not "Who likes can take", or I can go in the forest and take it by my self, or I can organize it for my self, I don't need your generosity.

Taking what is not given, is very usual today and sure even for the most monks not to understand. So you might have next to people who will be able to take the gift, also people how feel caught or annoyed that Buddhas way is not their usual way.

If we like that good Monks and good nuns are present in the virtual world, we need to care for their needs and requirements and keep them away fro the usual wordily ways.

There is lot of issa in this world. So to make a present is actually not that easy, not many can receive a hearts gift.

There has been lot of great merit going on, if you like to share it for the Monks who are doing great work in the digital world, since it is Sanghika Dana:

Quote from: Johann 10/2/2015 6:48 AM to Bhikkhu
Ven. Sir.,

It had a reason, why Atma, still a no afflicted directly with the Sangha, send you as the first person the message of donation of open office, which you rejected arrogantly. It had a reason, why Atma was and is doing things to make it Bhikkhus possible.

How every, even in regard of you resquest (to Lay people, without being invited, look they know your acts and still try to help you) OpenOffice/LibreOffice Spell-check Dictionaries for Pali Atma  also looked for ways longer time ago and you are heartly invited like ever to make use of it:Pali Dictionaries for UDP

You can download the dhamma gift here, without using resources not directly given: sangham.net Dictionary
It has a reason, why lay people have no attentiveness, aside of them who are taught, to take care of such needs and help Bhikkhus and Bhikkhunis in this reason. They say, similar as some monks have taught them, if you need you can take it anywhere in the internet and no need to spam people with the gifts of Dhamma. So in future, they will not take care and monastics would be either unable to help them or let go of their virtue.

Where as you have a clear idea about the precept in regard of sex, you views in regard of the others are not so clear and you teach this blurry views and so you harm your self and other Bhikkhus and Bhikkhunis as well the possibilities to practice precepts generally.

Maybe you are now able to see the reason and maybe you also see that the reasons are totally out of other indention as you are used to come in contact in association with people of wrong views.

If you need any thing, please let it be know. Its invited and with a mind set for the welfare and long lasting of the Sangha. Maybe the ways are limited, but those fact has a reason. Lay people follow what they feel they are supported and its difficult for them to see what is actually right. So acts come back as result.

May Bhante see both, the encouragement as well as the material gift and they to support, as a good willed way and may he accept this gift as it would be good if Bhante do so.

Saman Johann

Having taken it again, as a receiver of the Sangha, Samana is responsible for all mistakes, if and how, and where...

Should Samana Johann having forget any information, it lies in his responsibility. May the Honorable Sangha and its members, or who ever wishes, please ask, tell or mention, of what ever you feel inspired, what ever mood, and of course out of compassion.  _/\_

The same counts for everyone and Samana Johann would, if he comes across it, response and receive it here.

* Invitation:  Samanera needs to express muditā again, by reflecting about this deed of Mr. Florian Effenberger and invites everybody who is able, to rejoice.

(since given to use PC for now, an update)

Khmer writing, display... works fine, incl. spelling correction and not only display but auto HYPHENATION. Onee can also change the software language to Khmer (not done in the shoted screen)

Download of Libre-Office: https://km.libreoffice.org/download/

Extention spelling:

Project Description

An extension for LibreOffice to include a Khmer spelling checker. Based on the word-lists of KhmerOS and SBBIC. Allows for Khmer numbers as well as the inclusion of ទី before numbers. No longer will Khmer numbers be viewed as misspelled words. We also included some better coding to make the checker better at giving you a correct spelling for a misspelled word. Also, now the ៗ character will no longer cause words to be misspelled. In this release we added more Khmer proper names as well as additional number and date combinations. Thank you to all the volunteers who made this possible! TO USE THE HYPHENATION DICTIONARY please read the instructions at: http://www.sbbic.org/2015/10/23/khmer-hyphenation-dictionary/ To display the suggestions correctly you have to change the display font of OpenOffice.org to a font that supports Khmer Unicode. To change 1. Tools --> Options --> LibreOffice or OpenOffice.org --> Fonts --> select apply replacement table --> In the "Font" drop down list type "Andale Sans UI" --> Select a desired Khmer Unicode font such as "Khmer SBBIC System" from the "Replace With" drop down list --> conform by clicking on the green correct mark --> When the new entry is added to the table below select "Always" check box. If that doesn't work try replacing "Segoe UI" with "Khmer SBBIC System" and it should work. 2. Tools --> Option --> LibreOffice or OpenOffice.org --> View --> uncheck the "use system font for user interface" check box. In the latest versions of LibreOffice this step is no longer needed If after installing the spell checker it does not work then you need disable all the other spell checkers used in LibreOffice/Open Office. To do this Tools --> Options --> Language Settings --> Writing Aids --> Uncheck all the other dictionaries in the "Available Language Modules" list and uncheck all except "standard" and "IgnoreAllList[All]" in the "User Defined Dictionaries" list. Please help us improve this Khmer spelling checker by sending us new words and any errors that you encounter or features that you think would help by commenting below. Thank you!

That is/will be of cause a great given help for all working on Dhamma in Khmer, Bhante Muni ,Bhante Indaññāno , Khemakumara , Maha Panna Foundation , Upasika Norum , Upasika Cheav Villa ... and all the many possible informed by Devas touch.

§ 98. {Iti 3.49; Iti 98}

This was said by the Blessed One, said by the Arahant, so I have heard: "There are these two kinds of gifts: a gift of material things & a gift of the Dhamma. Of the two, this is supreme: a gift of the Dhamma. There are these two kinds of sharing: sharing of material things & sharing of the Dhamma. Of the two, this is supreme: sharing of the Dhamma. There are these two kinds of assistance: assistance with material things & assistance with the Dhamma. Of the two, this is supreme: help with the Dhamma."

The gift he describes
as foremost & unsurpassed,
the sharing the Blessed One has extolled:
who — confident in the supreme field of merit,
   wise, discerning —
wouldn't give it at appropriate times?
Both for those who proclaim it
and those who listen,
confident in the message of the One Well-gone:
it purifies their foremost benefit —
   those heeding the message
   of the One Well-gone.
