The bark fibre gown

100. "Bhikkhus, even a new bark fibre gown may be not comely, attractive to touch and be of low value, even a middling bark fibre gown may be not comely, attractive to touch and be of low value. Or even a decayed bark fibre gown may be not comely, attractive to touch and be of low value.


Das Rindenfaserkleid

100. "Bhikkhus, selbst ein neues Kleid aus Rindenfaser mag nicht anmutig, nicht angenehm zu berühren und von niedrigem Wert sein. Ein mittelmässig gebrauchtes Kleid aus Rindenfaser mag nicht anmutig, angenehm zu berühren und von niedrigem Wert sein. So sehr mag ein verbrauchtes Kleid aus Rindenfaser nicht anmutig, angenehm zu berühren und von geringem Wert sein.


"The decayed bark fibre gown will be taken to wipe something or would be thrown into the rubbish heap.

"Bhikkhus, in the same manner even if a novice bhikkhu is with evil thoughts, I say he is not attractive. I compare him to the not comely bark fibre gown.


"Das verbrachte Rindenfaserkleid würde zum aufwischen verwendet werden, oder auf den Müllhaufen geworfen werden.

"Jene die ihm dienen, mit ihm Umgang pflegen und ihm gleich tun, werden sich geistig unwohl fühlen und zu Unangenehmen für lange Zeit fallen. Ich sage es ist sein unangenehmes Berühren. Ich vergleiche dieses mit dem nicht angenehm zu berührendem Rindenfaserkleid.

"They that offer him robes, morsel food, dwellings and requisites when ill are not well rewarded. I say, it is owing to his low value. I compare it to the low value of the bark fibre gown.

"Wenn solch ein älterer Bhikkhu in Mitten der Gemeinschaft der Bhikkhus sprechen würde, würden sie im sagen: 'Ihr Dummkopf, Unbelehtereiner, was habt Ihr zu sagen, welches Ihr denkt sagen zu müssen.' Er wäre unerfreut und verärgert, und würde unerfreuliche Worte sprechen. Die Gemeinschaft würde ihn hinauswerfen, sowie das Rindenfaserkleid, welches wie Abfall weggeworfen wird.

"Wenn solch ein älterer Bhikkhu in Mitten der Gemeinschaft der Bhikkhus sprechen würde, würde gesagt werden: 'Ehrwürdige, macht keinen Lärm, ein Älterer spricht über die Lehre und Verhalten.' Seine Worte würden gut verwahrt, entweder in einen duftenden Korb gegeben, oder in Kaschmirkleid eingewickelt werden.
Deshalb, Bhikkhus, sollt ihr Euch üben: Wir sollten wie Kaschmirkleid und nicht wie Kleid aus Rindenfaser sein."

Mit dem Paliursprung und vielleicht hinzuziehen der Khmer-Übersetzung , sicher besser in "Anmutiges, Angenehmzuberührendes, Wertvolles", und dass weniger in Hinblick auf literarisch und den Neigungen gefallend, sonder richtig und zielführend, zu bringen.
