2020 Jan 11 17:03:02
Visitor: For I am out of community and practice to be independent too -- decided when couldn't find Gem(liberated one, buddha, venerable).

2020 Jan 11 17:00:13
Visitor: If I share one of those practices, will uncle allow that? Will uncle give way to me to give as a 'Visitor'? Even when it's out of community.

2020 Jan 11 16:57:53
Johann: It's importand to see that liberation is possible, and people having gained independency are met = Savaka Sangha

2020 Jan 11 16:55:26
Johann: It's importand, aside of the deva-messangers, birth, sickness, aging death, to meet the Buddha, Arahat, Samana, so that real Saddha may arise. Books hardly can provide such "it's not just a story"

2020 Jan 11 16:50:04
Visitor: Practice leads to experience -coming slowly-2 me already. Did uncle find any Gems(Ven. Buddha) to associate with?

2020 Jan 11 16:45:42
Johann: Only by practicing and association with the Gems can Dhamma be gained. Consuming 1000 book wouldn't help

2020 Jan 11 16:43:02
Johann: What does one, seeing his decay, keep him from sharing?

2020 Jan 11 16:41:31
Johann: Giving ways to let others give is also a-maccariya

2020 Jan 11 16:39:42
Johann: And books are lasting? Sharing about oldage, sickness and death is teaching the 1 Noble truth very real, or?

2020 Jan 11 16:35:58

Breah Ang, the deed of translating my own language, Breah Karuna, into English is for now not so correct. I, Breah Karuna, will put an effort into it, to be able to write in English at later time.

There is no learning more of benefit than by being simply a sideffect of giving. "I like to learn english...": debts, debts, debt, a live to live as teacher to give back. The same holds with Dhamma. A person like a servant, joyfull in giving, without particulary desire for certain gain, step by step, gained without having any debt.

That is way it is said that the real king is actually the kings first assisted, servant. The same holds in the relation of man and woman, teacher and disciple,...

btw. the way, vin.mv.01.15 and vin.mv.01.16, duties between Upajjhāya (Introduce) and Saddhivihārika (faithful co-dweller), if understanding the essence can perfectly used for relations of this kind as well, a pair walking for the same aim.

Namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammā-sambuddhassa

“Thus they — living with mutual respect, deference, and courtesy — will arrive at growth, increase, and maturity in this Dhamma-Vinaya.

But it's good to remember also the more direct and often disturbing advices of the Buddha in regard of relations, reminding on: "Suffering comes from what is dear to one." and so focus on ones skilful actions and giving is most important in any relation one feeds on.

Just came across a talk by most Ven. Thanissaro, shared yesterday:

The Buddha’s Relationship Advice

en:lib:authors:thanissaro:dhammatalks:181029_the_buddhas_relationship_advice.mp3

As Ven. Sir is a fast speaker, and American English by itself not that precise in spelling, possible not easy to understand.

Since not so easy to do, Atma told Nyom Chanroth already to learn and record: Audio-record would be good.

A male voice for Conduct of man and female for woman would be good.

This teaching from the seven kinds of wifes, at the beginning, is actually a matter in every relation, male, student... teacher. The last one, even fools would say "how low..." is actually not only the King in an relation, soon will gain any freedom, but also one who can help ones defiled teacher, chef, partner... to one time possible see his dark places.

- Namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammā-sambuddhassa -

...but when a wife (person) looks after her husband’s (elders, his instructor, teacher, Uppajja...) interest with tender care and devotion like a mother over her child, this kind of wife is a motherly (fatherly) one;

again a wife who by nature is obedient and shy like a sister to a brothers belongs to a sisterly type;

and a wife who shares in like manner the happiness of misfortune of her husband is at once a friendly one;

finally a wife who lives in tolerance of the whims and dislikes of her husband and serves him faithfully throughout, is a servantly type.

Which kind "partner" of and "elder", one who was first, one one depends on... does one like to be?

There are certain thing my person does not agree here, especially the title, but in it's heart, aside of the notion given that one should be inhonest, or even steal, Ven. Thanissaros teaching here transports a good message, actually the Khmer way, khema way, to "solve" problems without "patiseit", to carefully help "stubborn" fallen leaders, fathers, mothers, elder... Think Like a Thief . Talents "modern" people mostly never learned and to often fall for thought of being independent and having rights. Not every leader one depends on is already a Noble One or even an Arahat but possible on the way or could be redirected indirect.
