Atma just came across a Sutta, Nandiyasuttaṁ, in AN 11.2 Anussativaggo, where the Buddha instead of the common patter, replaced reflecting on the Sangha with, reflecting on ones good friend. The fact that also
Sīlānussati is missing here, might point to a circumstance that Nandiya was not familar with the Dhamma at this time, say still follower of other sects.
It's in any case, if knowing of what a admirable friend is, to reflect on ones blessing to have such, of which is rare.
