I've recently fixed many words and sentences of the first post of the thread "Debts, but to whom ?". It take me some time trying to figure out the meaning of some sentences. So it would be good if Bhante could check if the original intended meaning of the post still intact. I have a backup of the ori...

I have a backup of the original post in any case. I might review the second post next time. Very insightful teaching. _/\_

There is such as a "wiki" backup function in all posts, Nyom Danilo. Good is to use the mention option, at the places where making changes Johann , that it gets not "lost".

Or to simply make a new post. No need to be shy in doing good things. It's not a museum, it's a working and concentration place. Mudita.

Post-history: http://forum.sangham.net/index.php/topic,1164.0.html (but there is no notification system). My person uses to make a @mention (http://forum.sangham.net/index.php/topic,1870.0.html) , off topic "/me" (http://forum.sangham.net/index.php/topic,225.msg1935.html#msg1935) in the OP.

And there is no intention to just make a museum out of a working and concentration camp, since the Dhamma can not be understood by just looking on forms but by learning and experiance skillful deeds.

This "wiki"-like backup tool is meant as a outwardy insurance that one does not be afraid that anything possible good can be desroyed or made bad while looking for cleaning it. So worry at all, kamma does not dissapear. No need to fear to make good deeds, knowing that.

* Johann : links added

If one does not have the possibilities to change others post, please feel free to ask.

Please be careful in cases of new arrivers, since some are not used to receive help and easy understand it as "impact in there privat sphere" or "undertaking to take something away".

Generally here, at this times, there are no participater who feel not compfortable if mistakes are corrected unasked.

If you think it is needed that the original poster should be informed, the most "sillent" way is to use an off-topic remark possible with @ mention.

* Johann : Atma made a information topic, Nyom Danilo . Since the shout-box's support is of very short life, it's always better to create a topic or a post. "Nothing" gets lost here, can be moved, modified, etc...

How ever, if changes are made one can see it by:

* appearance of the "new" info
* by the information at the end of the post in ways according to ones possibilities.

Giving information about edits:

* make a new post with @{user name} mention
* or write on off-topic note at the end of th post
* make use of "report" funktion, that Aramika and Admins are informed
* or even don't inform at all, if thinking that there is no need

In cases a certain versin should not be displayed, older versions can be "recovered" by using the info link.

(Originally the history mod was thought for multiuser use of translations posted but also to release from fear when good intentions arise to correct missdeeds and dirty spots, making things more accessable for many.)

* Johann Sometimes one gets a white screen if compairing, not sure about it. Once seen also in the past. My person guesses that it has to do with the case that certain post had been deleaded by not thinking about the id's of post-history so post before this deletion within the database might cause the error. But it should not be worred that much about this. History is "gone". The sample by screenshots shows that it works for newer edits anyway. It could be of course also, that my person has no permission to edit or compare own posts in certain forums.
