Craft of the Heart, by Ajaan Lee Dhammadharo. Ajaan Lee’s first, this book is also his most comprehensive, covering all aspects of the path of practice, from taking the five precepts to the attainment of arahantship. Although his later books made further developments in the positions offered here — such as the treatment of breath meditation in Keeping the Breath in Mind — this book remains one of the best introductions to Ajaan Lee’s teachings as a whole.
