Kana hat gerade mit Bhante Indaññāno  gesprochen und die Nachricht weiter-gegeben.  Bhantes Antwort: “Please write to Bhante Johann,  it is no Problem(to become a monk)! "

Wenn Kana den werten Upasaka das nächste mal antrifft, gibt Kana die Nachricht an Upasaka weiter, so letzte Zweifel bei Ihm vergehen mögen und er frohen Mutes in die Hauslosigkeit ziehen mag.

Bhante Indaññāno ist wieder im Wat Ayum.  Kana wird dem Bhante die Nachricht zukommenlassen.

He is, Bhante, but no access to Brahmachariya as homeless yet and who could help others aside of giving what is made ones own. May he soon become a great field of merits for many incl. possible future fellows as well. (Der bucklige Raucher, der nach Silatagen stets Bhantes abgelegte Gaben wegräumt.)

Namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammā-sambuddhassa

The Story of Thera Radha   

While residing at the Jetavana monastery, the Buddha uttered Verse (76) of this book, with reference to Thera Radha, who was at one time a poor old Brahmin.

Radha was a poor brahmin who stayed in the monastery doing small services for the bhikkhus. For his services he was provided with food and clothing and other needs, but was not encouraged to join the Order, although he had a strong desire to become a bhikkhu.

One day, early in the morning, when the Buddha surveyed the world with his supernormal power, he saw the poor old brahmin in his vision and knew that he was due for arahatship. So the Buddha went to the old man, and learned from him that the bhikkhus of the monastery did not want him to join the Order. The Buddha therefore called all the bhikkhus to him and asked them, "Is there any bhikkhu here who recollects any good turn done to him by this old man?" To this question, the Venerable Sariputta replied, "Venerable Sir, I do recollect an instance when this old man offered me a spoonful of rice." "If that be so," the Buddha said, "shouldn't you help your benefactor get liberated from the ills of life?" Then the Venerable Sariputta agreed to make the old man a bhikkhu and he was duly admitted to the Order. The Venerable Sariputta guided the old bhikkhu and the old bhikkhu strictly followed his guidance. Within a few days, the old bhikkhu attained arahatship.

When the Buddha next came to see the bhikkhus, they reported to him how strictly the old bhikkhu followed the guidance of the Venerable Sariputta. To them, the Buddha replied that a bhikkhu should be amenable to guidance like Radha, and should not resent when rebuked for any fault or failing.

Then the Buddha spoke in verse as follows:

Verse 76: One should follow a man of wisdom who rebukes one for one's faults, as one would follow a guide to some buried treasure. To one who follows such a wise man, it will be an advantage and not a disadvantage.

 _/\_ Bhante Indaññāno , on this occation,

while all worked hard of on doing merits on the hill , my person had a long talk with your old devoted servant, the old man already bended, who cares since long personal for Bhante, who came up the first time. He was hardly encouraged to join the holly life now, as still possible. Althought his heart totally bends in this direction he has much fear that the Sangha receives critic, he receives critic from villagers since he would possible not be able to go for alms but would need to receive food at the monastery. Telling and explaining that there is nothing wrong with it, he possible still has doubts and it would be good when Bhante, out of compassion, would try to take away uninformed doubts that he possible seeks for going forth, even now already old.
That Bhante might be informed timely, maybe Bhante Khemakumara can help in transfering the message, or who ever able to speak in this regard with him.

Again and again can it be seen, last time here , one of many, that especially the modern world afflicted Sanghas, pulling the holly life into modern standards, obiviously act on non-dhamma agreement.

Considering that those reports, aside of the many written "terms of use" here and there, are not necessarily based on missunderstandings, it has to been asked: "Is it true that you make community agreed limitations in regard of old age, set time and waiting lines...?

Venerable Sir's, how ever you may try to paint a picture of perfection for the sake of becoming and implementing your particular ideas, it's not for the sake of increasing faith in the faithless, ...

Acting in such ways, not only that it is not to underestimate kamma such an actor produces and an offense, it is of much harm, not only for the actor and the questioner, but also for many and out of this for the Sangha at all.

It would be good when the Venerables, especially of the most tradeful branches Ajahn Chah, Na-Uyana Aranya and Wat Metta ( Dhammatalks ) quickly deeply remember of what has been given by the Buddha and what are the many reasonings for discriminations similar like those you would be very annoyed at tell it foolish preoccupation.

How can you be dear to reject a person, 40, 50, even if 90, saying you are to old? Because improper lifelihood, living in improper dependency, requires certain regulations to work? Or what is a reasonable argument here? My person can hardly assume that you resits on very limits and a sick monk would cause  starving for the whole community. Probably loosing resources now used for entertaining crowd of lay people for fellows might be unpleasing...

It's simply shamefull this "young, strong and healthy"-strategy for the sake of becomming, annoying for everybody in Dhamma.
