Title: Übersetzung oder Korrektur vonnöten? -Translations or corrections necessary?
Post by: Sophorn on April 16, 2013, 01:15:05 AM

Liebe Freunde,

Dear friends,

Maybe some of you have noticed that I take care of Johanns' writing or translation mistakes. There are mostly only small adjustments but our "devus" ;-) tends to write funny constructions after 15 hours at a stretch while thinking and writing in two or three languages.

A good part of us here speaks German, however not all of us. Some discussions are only in one language, because one only speaks one language or maybe is too lazy to add an translation.
My suggestion to write in two languages at once was overtaken by Johann from the start - so eagerly and consequently that it puts to shame. The reason behind was to convey a transparency for all the readers.

So my question is: are corrections/translations for everyone needed or should it stay the way it is?

Thank you very much for your thoughts!

The main reason for me is to facilitate for others. To easily and correct fast can also lead to not seeing the woods because of so many trees. Everyone thinks a lot before writing and posting and to simply gear into something and put something differentely arbitrarily is not welcome for everyone. There has to be a profound trust which is important to always prove true due to doing good for all of us.

Thanks for you detail explaination and co-interest Krecik!

Maybe it's good that I try to give a résumé in regard to the original post.

Our dear Sophorn asked, if and who is interested to get his/her texts translated and corrected by her (direct in the original).

Alexander, Kusale, Krecik (wrong assuming, misunderstanding by me, see here (http://forum.sangham.net/index.php?topic=485.msg1309#msg1309))and Johann accept the offer. Kusala pointed out and leaded the discussion to consider that it might be good to do not gernalice such and I guess its good if we proceed also according this.

Alexander also offers his work to make corrections as well as Krecik (wrong assuming, misunderstanding by me, see here (http://forum.sangham.net/index.php?topic=485.msg1318#msg1318)). Kusala has also already offered this longer time ago.

(text portions cuted out and put here (http://forum.sangham.net/index.php?topic=507.msg1322#msg1322))

"Translatet by <Username> z.B. Sophorn

Danke
