Werte(r) Lal,

Hochachtungsvoll

stellvertretend für die Gründer und Unterstüter
Ihr Admin und Moderator Team

Dear Lal,

heartily welcome on sangham.net!

Please do not feel startled by our welcome. We attach importance that it might not happen that anybody would be overlooked or that we would not care of personal needs. So the technique helps us a little, in the case we might dwell in deep good or bad concentration of busy with something else.

To approach a new coming guest and visitor and to care for the needs of a arriving traveler is very important.

This is your very personal Topic and you can use it any time to introduce your self, for a Hallo and goodby, to inform others here about personal issues or for any very personal issues in regard of the community here.
From time to time, especially if you make use of this topic, we will move it into the "Further introduction - Genauere Vorstellung (http://forum.sangham.net/index.php?board=51.0)" forum, which is only visible for active Members. (for General Info in regard of this and Introduction please see here (http://forum.sangham.net/index.php?topic=3.0))

Since the forum is of course different to usual places it will require some help and support and not only out of this reason, please never miss to raise a question or to mention any kind of requirement. Just like home.

You can adjust many settings in your User-profil (http://forum.sangham.net/index.php?action=profile;area=account) and add subscription to certain forum-areas (User account >> Profile settings >> group membership). What ever fits best to your practice and needs.

We wish you, Lal, much joy on your discovering journey on sangham.net and though the jungle of the Dhamma and we trust, that you will always find the proper things for your requirements and that you will never miss needed support.

Yours respectfully
Vicariously for the founder and supporter

There are not many seeking liberation, or what would Upasaka Lal say? Yet even explain that to be or not to is no question at all, our decicions still might not understand our talk. Not sure why Atma felt the need to write this.

Upasaka Lal , just came across of one of you stories here (https://buddhism.stackexchange.com/a/20428/11235), and aside it's motivating heart wood (Sadhu!), may Atma ask for the origin of the rendering of The Story of Thera Potthila (http://zugangzureinsicht.org/html/tipitaka/kn/dhp/dhp.20.bpit_en.html#s-dhp-282)?

Atma added also a note in the German translation in regard of the English rendering into "meditation"

Quote from: http://forum.sangham.net/index.php/topic,1171.msg11930.html#msg11930

If we look on the meaning of yoga, it means merely "carry out" lit. "setting under the yoke" and seems to point on the whole training, and not just meditating since such would not lead any where special.

Just read the context Upasaka was telling that story...  :) Sadhu!

Good to see that it seems Nyom Lal is doing well.

When ever feeling that it would be good to overcome all kinds of macchariya, and to sacrifice upward rather downwardly, to share possessions of skill, knowledge, time, honor, family... practicing gratitude with proper means and let go of defence and burdensome out of thought similar reason, he should remember that there are given possibilities.

Yes, it's not easy to do the talk, and called therefore upanissayapaccayena in doing so. Both, in this or that direction.

Btw., maybe Nyom likes to share Dhamma, given by Ven. Waharaka Abhayaratanalankara Thero, in regard of stinginess/selfishness (maccariya) and gratitude. Teachings so seldom to find in modern worlds.

Good to seek that Upasaka Lal could overcome his illness and again full into teaching. Maybe Nyom likes to make more use of the six senses that to use the aggregates since it is not easy for householders to ever grasp the meaning of them while senses and their objects could be possible traced, having a lot of rupa to investigate, step by step.
