some times ago, Mr. Nathan ( sungkhum ), a kind Christian missionary who worked a lot on helping Khmer access internet and modern medias, (of course) social motivated, having found certain faith, offered to create a spell checker Pali, for the Sangha.

Nyom Moritz provided a wordlist deprived from the Sanghayana given to the Sangha here. At the time faith had arose in Mr. Nathan no skilled member of the Sangha was available, got in touch, who could make a check of the word list.

It Venerable Grandfather has the possibilities and merits, it would be good if he could take a look at the list, out of compassion for giver, so that my person could then hand over the list to Mr. Nathan who could then, if still inspired, prepare a spell checker pali (roman) for the Sangha and their faithful follower.

May Bhante let it be known in that case, so that my person could make the list available for him.

If that had worked well, based on possible correction, "we" could do the same for Khmer script.

Sadhu

(Yes, no zwsp in Pali-Khmer and words arranged similar Pali-Roman. And Pail has such word-sausages, yes.)

Atma will look though it and then make them avaliable for Nyom sungkhum (Nathan) for good inspired deeds. The rendering of the pts-dictionaries content may need another week, althought working steady on it, to extract a useful list in addition (also comparison).

Maybe Bhante Khemakumara , if next to Bhante Indaññāno , can ask him in regard the above question of traditional spelling pattern in Khmer-Pali.

A zip file with lists of words (just text files) from cs-rm and cs-km anya, atthakatha, tika and tipitaka directories (without subdirectories) is now downloadable from http://test.accesstoinsight.eu/download/paliwords.zip (still password protected, did not yet find time to chlange server settings).
Lists are grouped into files by "word length", where composite characters with diacritics etc. may count as multiple characters. Additionally one file suffixed ".all" in each directory contains a list of all words of all lenghts in that directory.
Since there are no zws in the CSCD Tipitaka, I assume that multiple words could bei stringed together in Khmer Pali.
But the Roman word list also contains some very long words. Longest word from cs-rm: avippavāsasammutisanthatasammutibhattuddesakasenāsanaggāhāpakabhaṇḍāgārikacīvarappaṭiggāhakayāgubhājakaphalabhājakakhajjabhājakaappamattakavissajjakasāṭiyaggāhapakapattaggāhāpakaārāmikapesakasāmaṇerapesakasammutīti. Not sure if this is correct.

Since the Chattasangayana is already complete on ati.eu and indexing has been made, if Nyom Moritz has inspiration and time, it would be good to extract a word list from the cs-rm: and cs-km: section (files in tipitaka:, atthakatha:, tika:, anya:, without sub-directories).

It would be good if Bhante Khemakumara could ask Ven. Indaññāno to read a little thought the books found in
index - tipitaka
index - atthakatha
index - tika
index - anya

to trace possible wrong spelling patterns as the above mentioned, possible to find also around the use of "am", "ang" ំ ង..., but also where words are connected, and to inform about the right use and pattern to do, so that this can be corrected for a spell-checker.

My person has also seen the use of after vocals like causing ិំ and not sure about such.

Nyom Nathan or others, if wishing to progress in going after doing this merits toward the Sangha, would then be able to get needed word-lists for Latin and Khmer Pali.

My person is not sure in how far the nuns community of Maha Panna Foundation has progressed to come after the request for doing merits in regard the Pali-dictionary which would be good to add, of course.

Atma will look in how far he is able to manage a list to add to the Latin-Pali deriving from the given Dictionaries.

Other than the Khmer script, the Khmer-Pali does not use hidden white spaces. How ever, the word index might be mixed of both and the Khmer-words of the Tipitaka Books are not all really correct at this time.

The Khmer-Sanghayana may still have certain wrong patterns, known only ព្ព instead of ព្វ . So currently it's probably not the right time to conduct such for a careful gift, Nyom Moritz. How ever, if such is available that would be a great help in prove-reading the Khmer Tipitaka Pali pages.

The words in Nyoms list seems to be all fine and Pali. What the indexer does not recognize and possible a reason to introduce hidden spaces in the files (?), is a "point" and other characters aside of word-characters and adds it to the word. Not sure if this handicaps are easier managed in the search indexer script, thought on many other scripts as well.

Nyom Moritz might help then with printing out a suitable word list, but it may also take certain time till all needed, especially time of those who might assist, comes along.

The search indexer is already compiling lists of words automatically, so it would be easy to extract a list of all words with Khmer script from there.
However, I am not sure if there is something more to consider regarding zero space characters etc. Not sure if what the search indexer recognized as "words" in Khmer or Khmer-Pali are actually words.
I have compiled a list of random samples here to check if these are really useable as dictionary words:

Currently my person is not given to provide such, yes Nyom sungkhum , and it was also asked to get the source to be able to do so from the owners and care holders.

Not sure if Mr Nathan read all. How ever, may he not worry that much. If possible in good ways, given and without improper means, my person would not forget to come along with the needed for this merits.

Sadhu Mr. Nathan. If my person is possible to organice such, he would approach Nyom to be able to put his inspiration toward the Sangha into action. It would be for no commercial use, not even for fondraising or "good" and possible could not be public integrated under common licences, yet of cource given for right purposes to use further.

Mr. Nathan ( sungkhum ), ecplaining a little, it would not be proper if a monk uses the recources and means given in faith toward the virtuous one to serve common desires and even marked. Actually monks are forbitten by their rules to do such services for "outsider", i.e. with the danger of wrong livelihood and the danger of dissatisfaction of doners, seeing their gifts run toward something they did not liked to give.

Again, if Nathan thinks and is inspired to sacrifices not ordinary into the increasing of suffering in the world but possible recognizes the benefit of the five proper times of giving, he may make given use of the possibility and my person makes possible effort to organize the required things.

Seeing the danger: Again my person hardly discourages to directy or indirectly deprive the Sangha of it's heritage, take it and even make it such as GNU, common good, fir commercial use. That's plain marxist and pseudo-liberal excess condemnation and Nyom knows what it has done to all religions.

My person thinks that Mr. Nathan is open and wise enough to not only understand the different but also gains some clearancy and joy with the good intention he has. My person will try that he gains the most lasting good benefit from it.

It is a little difficult for me to understand your English. Are you saying you can't supply a word list - or are you just asking others to do so?

Another thing, something which has been given to the Sangha of the eight direction is the whole Tipitaka of the last Sangha meeting in Burma, of which my person tries to take care of this time. But to use the actual complete ever spoken end written words for such a dictionary it would require some prove first, such as ព្ព instead of ព្វ are still included and the web page current down since space is exhausted. This is a content of about 300 book or more, Nyom sungkhum . Surely there is no better source for such a gift toward the Sangha.

Atma will try to ask Bhante Indaññāno for assistance to get some possible wrong patterns of giving the Pali in Khmer within it.

Nyom Moritz might help then with printing out a suitable word list, but it may also take certain time till all needed, especially time of those who might assist, comes along.

The same would be possible for the roman-script Pali. Aside of an via confict within this huge amount of words, this could be possible faster given for such a purpose (roman pali dictionary, given toward the Sangha also does not exist, yet there are certain apps... "hacked" arround, not really accessable for the Sangha).

Not sure if Mr. Nathan ( sungkhum )  could follow, since certain feedback came up in other topics.

In regard of the generous offering Nyom would wish to make, Upasika Villa did not waited long to help to assist here, in both ways, for the giver and the Sangha, quickly even went personally short after to meet the Ven Ladies of Maha Panna Foundation and asked them. They could for now not help in this regard, saying not been given to give text file and would ask the Sangharaja, possible Ven. Bukri, and the ministry of Dhamma-affairs first.
So it might need a while and is of course a challenge, since skillful mind is not something lasting naturally and requires a lot of training and patient so that it would not turn into the other direction.

What ever might be possible for each, things are laid out. May it become a sacrifice that's minimum purified on one side. mudita
