Bhikkhu Cintita Dinsmore

A homegrown monastic sangha marks the advent of Buddhism in America. As the sangha still small, Buddhism is yet on shaky ground. At the time, or times, I ordained I certainly was doing my part to strengthen Buddhism, but also realized that even more than that I was setting an example I hope for a new, younger generation of monastics. That I am a European American, not enjoying the benefit of birth into a Buddhist tradition, makes my example all the more telling for the European American aspirant. I hope I represent the possibility of a real aspiration. With this in mind, I offer this section on me, on my life, particularly how I came to this path, how I am manifesting this path in my current life, and how I might be available as a resource for others.
