Notification from topics where one gets notified and others are stored and can be viewed via one profil, see sreenshot 1 and if obened one gets not only the settings but also the lust of past mentions (see screenshot 2).
Mabe that helps some, maybe also Nyom Ieng Puthy , having possible missed past email-notifications or lost.
Mentions by @... are similar found in the profile, see 3 and 4 screenshot.
