Moritz, sadhu for inform. I thought something could have happened as I noticed a longer internal — than the usual — with no post from Bhante Johann.
I hope that all this coronavirus issue isn't causing much problems for Bhante Johann, Bhante Khemakumara or for you in Cambodia. _/\_

And what is skillful? Abstaining from taking life is skillful, abstaining from taking what is not given... from sexual misconduct... from lying... from abusive speech... from divisive tale-bearing... abstaining from idle chatter is skillful. Lack of covetousness... lack of ill will... right views are skillful. These things are termed skillful.
And what are the roots of what is skillful? Lack of greed is a root of what is skillful, lack of aversion is a root of what is skillful, lack of delusion is a root of what is skillful. These are termed the roots of what is skillful.
Namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammā-sambuddhassa
"When a disciple of the noble ones discerns what is unskillful in this way, discerns the root of what is unskillful in this way, discerns what is skillful in this way, and discerns the root of what is skillful in this way, when — having entirely abandoned passion-obsession, having abolished aversion-obsession, having uprooted the view-&-conceit obsession 'I am'; having abandoned ignorance & given rise to clear knowing — he has put an end to suffering & stress right in the here-&-now, it is to this extent that a disciple of the noble ones is a person of right view, one whose view is made straight, who is endowed with verified confidence in the Dhamma, and who has arrived at this true Dhamma."
Namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammā-sambuddhassa
"Among whatever beings there may be — footless, two-footed, four-footed, many footed; with form or formless; percipient, non-percipient, neither percipient nor non-percipient — the Tathagata, worthy & rightly self-awakened, is considered supreme. Those who have confidence in the Awakened One have confidence in what is supreme; and for those with confidence in the supreme, supreme is the result."

I kana used to talk to the Khmer monk at Wat AngChum who contacted to Akyum with the Police in Korng Pisey District, the monk want to apologize again and again he said he and the Police had no bad will againt Bhante. Because of cannot talk and understand the language...
Namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammā-sambuddhassa
"Abandoning false speech, he abstains from false speech. He speaks the truth, holds to the truth, is firm, reliable, no deceiver of the world. This, too, is part of his virtue.
"Abandoning divisive speech he abstains from divisive speech. What he has heard here he does not tell there to break those people apart from these people here. What he has heard there he does not tell here to break these people apart from those people there. Thus reconciling those who have broken apart or cementing those who are united, he loves concord, delights in concord, enjoys concord, speaks things that create concord. This, too, is part of his virtue.
"Abandoning abusive speech, he abstains from abusive speech. He speaks words that are soothing to the ear, that are affectionate, that go to the heart, that are polite, appealing and pleasing to people at large. This, too, is part of his virtue.
"Abandoning idle chatter, he abstains from idle chatter. He speaks in season, speaks what is factual, what is in accordance with the goal, the Dhamma, and the Vinaya. He speaks words worth treasuring, seasonable, reasonable, circumscribed, connected with the goal. This, too, is part of his virtue.
"Whereas some brahmans and contemplatives, living off food given in faith, are addicted to talking about lowly topics such as these — talking about kings, robbers, ministers of state; armies, alarms, and battles; food and drink; clothing, furniture, garlands, and scents; relatives; vehicles; villages, towns, cities, the countryside; women and heroes; the gossip of the street and the well; tales of the dead; tales of diversity [philosophical discussions of the past and future], the creation of the world and of the sea, and talk of whether things exist or not — he abstains from talking about lowly topics such as these. This, too, is part of his virtue.
"But because you see your transgression as such and make amends in accordance with the Dhamma, we accept your confession. For it is a cause of growth in the Dhamma & Discipline of the noble ones when, seeing a transgression as such, one makes amends in accordance with the Dhamma and exercises restraint in the future."
Namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammā-sambuddhassa
"A friend endowed with these three qualities is worth associating with. Which three? He/she gives what is hard to give, does what is hard to do, endures what is hard to endure. A friend endowed with these three qualities is worth associating with."

Recollecting the Experienced
2. day: after having a night of (khema) in the Fields of the Khmer, Atma /Kana left the present of chisor mountain behind.
going straight north-west through the rice Fields. Short enter the nearby villages for pindabat then return on the way through the fields.
Mothers of Khmer, looking for the kumaras khema (security) along the way.
Today thinking of how the Sublime Buddha advised to “crossing over the flood"Namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammā-sambuddhassa
"When I pushed forward, I was whirled about. When I stayed in place, I sank. And so I crossed over the flood without pushing forward, without staying in place."
day 3:
At the morning, a given possibility to clean the body and robe.
went on almsround in a "remote village "
like the other days, when the villagers recognized, that this “barang” do not have interest in money, fast the "mothers of Khmer" with alot of joy spreading around the place, , more than “just happy” to make good deeds.
at around 11 o'clock arrived at Phnom Tamao. resting a bit and then going straight north/west.
statement of the day from a Mother of Khema:
“When I was talking to him in english language, the Monk answer in khmer language and also can talk "prah Thor". he do not need Money, do not want a car or motorcycle. Just “conviction” saddhā in Buddha, Dhamma, Sangha.
Sadhu, Sadhu "
today's thoughts:
“every time, when Atma/Kana goes “on the high(er) way” a feeling of “living at home”comes up, every time when Atma/Kana is "staying at a home" a feeling of “living on a highway” comes up.
right after that thinking “do not feel “at home” when you are at home and do not feel at home when on the street. it might be, that a poisonous snake or a car hit you right there."
Being home-less do not mean to living on a street. it means not to make a stand-hold in “world” anymore so nothing can hit you right there .

Ich wünsche ihnen alles erdenkliche Gute und darüber hinaus.

Kana just wanted to inform that Bang Cheav Villa has received a call this morning that her family saw Bhante Marcel on road nr. 3. Obviously he got lost for 3 days and didn't receive much / at all for alms.
Kana is now on the way to find Bhante and picking up Bang Villa on the way. Also, Bang Lay is already on the motorbike on the way to the village mentioned last seen.
May Bhante be well.

I talked to Roman recently, suggesting going to visit Cambodia together. Hopefully early next year would be a good time for me, but still not sure yet, because I just started a new job and don't know yet when I can get my first vacation.Sure the encouraging appear as rants, but certain good timely and always considering strongly one-way tickets.
Hopefully we can go together. But I just made the suggestion and don't want to hold back, of course. :)
It would be great to see Bhante again, and also Bhante Johann, and others around.
