And doing merits: Which? They are for the most for becoming, more refined food, a better stand, finer "body", beauty... aren't smart people not doing merits because they know/trust their effects on long-term ayu (longlife), vaṇṇo (beauty/estimation), sukhaṁ (happiness/heal), balaṁ (power/strengh)?
So how should this encouragement be understood to get it not wrong and not using it if aim is possible different?
So that one does not get not lost in quotes ..
