[៤៣] ម្នាលភិក្ខុទាំងឡាយ បុគ្គលមានសទ្ធាជ្រះថ្លា បណ្ឌិត​ត្រូវ​ដឹង​ដោយ​ហេតុ​៣យ៉ាង។  ហេតុ៣​យ៉ាង គឺអ្វីខ្លះ។  គឺ​បុគ្គល​នោះ ចង់​ឃើញ​បុគ្គល​មានសីល ១ ចង់ស្ដាប់​ព្រះសទ្ធម្ម ១ មាន​ចិត្តប្រាស​ចាក​សេចក្ដី​កំណាញ់​ជាមន្ទិល នៅគ្រប់​គ្រងផ្ទះ មានការ​លះ​រួច​ហើយ មាន​ដៃលាង​ហើយ ត្រេកអរ​ក្នុង​ការលះ ជាអ្នក​គួរដល់ស្មូម ជាអ្នក​ត្រេកអរ​ក្នុង​ការ​ឲ្យ និងការ​ចែក​រំលែក១។  ម្នាលភិក្ខុ​ទាំង​ឡាយ បុគ្គល​​មាន​​សទ្ធា​ជ្រះថ្លា បណ្ឌិត​ត្រូវដឹង ដោយហេតុ៣ យ៉ាងនេះ។

បុគ្គលណា ចង់ឃើញពួកបុគ្គលមានសីល ចង់ស្ដាប់ព្រះសទ្ធម្ម កំចាត់បង់នូវមន្ទិល គឺសេចក្ដីកំណាញ់ បុគ្គលនោះឯង ហៅថា អ្នកមានសទ្ធា។


Instances
Ṭhāna Sutta


“In these three instances, monks, one can be recognized as a person of conviction & confidence. Which three? One wants to see virtuous people. One wants to hear the True Dhamma. One’s awareness cleansed of the stain of stinginess, one lives at home, freely generous, openhanded, delighting in being magnanimous, responsive to requests, delighting in the distribution of alms. In these three instances, monks, one can be recognized as a person of conviction & confidence.”

One who wants to see virtuous ones,
& wants to hear the True Dhamma
—having subdued the stain of stinginess—
is said to have conviction.


Fälle
Ṭhāna Sutta 


“In diesen drei Fällen, Bhikkhus, kann einer als eine Person der Überzeugung und Zuversicht angesehen weden. Welche drei? Er möchte tugendhafte Personen sehen. Er möchte das Wahre Dhamma hören. Sein Wesen gereinigt vom Makel der Knausrigkeit, lebt einer zu Hause, frei großzügig, freigiebig, im Großherzigsein erfreuend, offen für Anfragen, erfreut im Teilen von Almosen. In jenen drei Fällen, Bhikkhus, kann einer als eine Person der Überzeugung und Zuversicht angesehen weden.”

Einer Tugendhafte sehen wollend,
und das Wahre Dhamma,
den Makel der Knausrigkeit abgetan,
wird als Überzeugung habend besagt.

Indeed, indeed, of great benefit for the Sangha, for any individual, to be in assosiation and certain depenency of wise lay people, faithful, informed, filled with metta and not stingy with what ever support they can give according to their capacity and need.

mudita and may all always find best nissaya in all regards, toward independency.

[៧៥] ម្នាលភិក្ខុទាំងឡាយ ឧបាសកប្រកបដោយធម៌ ៥ យ៉ាង ឈ្មោះថា ចណ្ឌាលឧបាសកផង ឈ្មោះថា មលឧបាសកផង ឈ្មោះថា បដិកិដ្ឋឧបាសកផង។ ធម៌ ៥ យ៉ាង តើដូចម្តេច។  គឺ ឧបាសក ជាអ្នកមិនមានសទ្ធា ១ ជាអ្នកទ្រុស្តសីល ១ ប្រកាន់មង្គលភ្ញាក់ផ្អើល ១ ជឿតែមង្គល មិនជឿកម្ម ១ សែ្វងរកទក្ខិណេយ្យបុគ្គល ខាងក្រៅពុទ្ធសាសនា ហើយធ្វើបុណ្យនឹងទក្ខិណេយ្យបុគ្គលនោះ ១។ ម្នាលភិក្ខុទាំងឡាយ ឧបាសកប្រកប ដោយធម៌ ៥ យ៉ាងនេះឯង ឈ្មោះថា ចណ្ឌាលឧបាសកផង ឈ្មោះថា មលឧបាសកផង ឈ្មោះថា បដិកិដ្ឋឧបាសកផង។

Candala Sutta: The Outcaste

"Endowed with these five qualities, a lay follower is an outcaste of a lay follower, a stain of a lay follower, a dregs of a lay follower. Which five? He/she does not have conviction [in the Buddha's Awakening]; is unvirtuous; is eager for protective charms & ceremonies; trusts protective charms & ceremonies, not kamma; and searches for recipients of his/her offerings outside [of the Sangha], and gives offerings there first. Endowed with these five qualities, a lay follower is an outcaste of a lay follower, a stain of a lay follower, a dregs of a lay follower.

"Endowed with these five qualities, a lay follower is a jewel of a lay follower, a lotus of a lay follower, a fine flower of a lay follower. Which five? He/she has conviction; is virtuous; is not eager for protective charms & ceremonies; trusts kamma, not protective charms & ceremonies; does not search for recipients of his/her offerings outside [of the Sangha], and gives offerings here first. Endowed with these five qualities, a lay follower is a jewel of a lay follower, a lotus of a lay follower, a fine flower of a lay follower."

Candala Sutta: Der Ausgestoßene

"Bestückt mit diese fünf Qualitäten ist ein Laiennahänger ein Ausgestoßener eines Laienanhänger, ein Makel von einem Laienanhänger, ein Nichts von einem Laienanhänger. Welche fünf? Er/Sie hat kein Vertrauen [in Buddhas Erwachen]; ist untugendhaft; eifert nach Schutzzauber und Zeremonien; vertraut in Schutzzauber und Zeremonien, nicht in Kamma und sucht nach Empfängern für seine/ihre Gaben außerhalb [der Sangha], gibt Gaben dort zuerst. ...ម្នាលភិក្ខុទាំងឡាយ ដើមជ្រៃធំ ដុះលើផែនដីដ៏ល្អ ត្រង់ផ្លូវ​ធំ​បែក​ជា ៤ រមែងជាទីពួនសង្ងំ នៃពួកបក្សីជុំវិញយ៉ាងណា ម្នាលភិក្ខុទាំងឡាយ កុលបុត្រ ដែលមានសទ្ធា រមែងជាទីពឹងពាក់អាស្រ័យ នៃជនដ៏ច្រើន គឺពួកភិក្ខុ ភិក្ខុនី ឧបាសក ឧបាសិកា ក៏យ៉ាងនោះដែរ។

ដើមឈើធំ បរិបូណ៌ដោយមែក ស្លឹក ផ្លែ ដើម ឫស បរិបូណ៌ដោយផ្លែ ជាទីពឹង របស់សត្វបក្សីទាំងឡាយ ពួកសត្វតែងអាស្រ័យនឹងដើមឈើនោះ ដែលនៅក្នុងព្រៃ​រំលោង ជាទីរីករាយចិត្ត ពួកសត្វដែលត្រូវការម្លប់ ក៏ទៅជ្រកម្លប់ ពួកសត្វ ដែល​ត្រូវការផ្លែ ក៏បរិភោគផ្លែ យ៉ាងណាមិញ បុរសបុគ្គលអ្នកមានសទ្ធា បរិបូណ៌ដោយ សីល ប្រព្រឹត្តឱនលំទោន មិនរឹងរូស ស្លូតត្រង់ ទន់ភ្លន់ ពួកព្រះសង្ឃ ដែល​​ប្រាស​ចាករាគៈ ប្រាសចាកទោសៈ ប្រាសចាកមោហៈ មិនមានអាសវៈ ជាបុញ្ញកេ្ខត្ត ក្នុងលោក រមែងរាប់រកនរជនប្រាកដដូច្នោះ ពួកព្រះសង្ឃទាំងនោះ រមែង​សំដែង​ធម៌ ជាគ្រឿងបន្ទោបង់នូវទុក្ខទាំងអស់ ដល់នរៈនោះ នរៈនោះ ដឹងនូវ​ធម៌​ច្បាស់​ហើយ ជាអ្នកមិនមានអាសវៈ រមែងបរិនិព្វាន ក្នុងលោកនេះ។

Namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammā-sambuddhassa

"...Just as a large banyan tree, on level ground where four roads meet, is a haven for the birds all around, even so a lay person of conviction is a haven for many people: monks, nuns, male lay followers, & female lay followers."

A massive tree
whose branches carry fruits & leaves,
with trunks & roots
& an abundance of fruits:

   There the birds find rest.

In that delightful sphere
they make their home.
Those seeking shade
   come to the shade,
those seeking fruit
   find fruit to eat.

So with the person consummate
in virtue & conviction,
humble, sensitive, gentle,
   delightful, mild:
To him come those without effluent —
   free from passion,
   free from aversion,
   free from delusion —
the field of merit for the world.

They teach him the Dhamma
   that dispels all stress.
And when he understands,
   he is freed from effluents,

   totally unbound.

..."Gerade so wie ein großer Banyanbaum, auf einem erhabenen Grund, wo vier Straßen einander treffen, ein Hafen für die Vögel rund herum ist, ebenso ist eine Laienperson von Zuversicht, ein Hafen für viele Leute: Bhikkhus, Bhikkhunis, männliche Laienanhänger und weibliche Laienanhänger."

Ein massiver Baum
dessen Äste Früchte und Blätter tragen,
mit Stamm und Wurzeln,
und einem Überfluß an Früchten:

   Dort finden die Vogel Rast.

In dieser freudigen Sphäre
machen sie ihr Zuhaus'.
Jene ,Schatten suchend
   zu Schatten kommen,
jene, Früchte suchend
   zum Essen Früchte finden.

Gleich mit der Person, vollkommen
in Tugend und Zuversicht,
bescheiden, aufmerksam, sanft,
   höchst angenehm und mild.
Zu ihr kommen jene ohne Ausflüsse —
   frei von Begierde,
   frei von Ablehnung,
   frei von Unwissenheit —
das Feld der Verdienste für diese Welt.

Sie lehren ihm das Dhamma
   das allen Streß vertreibt.
Und wenn sie versteht,
   von Ausflüssen, sie ist,

   völlig ungebunden, befreit.
