All those Devas, and their care, near and far...

People, dwelling, food, whether... a matter of Upanissaya (strong [given] condition)

Nine o'clock, still raining since yesterday when the village prister started his families ancestor fest down in the village. As the sound of preaching was growing silent my person took off for his round. Reaching the foot, not having left the forest, rain became lighter and three Upasakas (priests and devoted from the south monastery) came up, approached and gave alms, following then back up the hill (some for the first time, although always close).

After some talks on drunkeness in life, health and youth, and that which would be a refuge, after a short round of inspection, they returned back into a sunny mild day into the village.

When no Uposatha-day, Sunday or serious undertaking of merits: rain, rain, rain... all around the day.

Atma didn't share the merits of the young neighbor who provides the way up to the Ashram over his land this days yet. Some days ago, coming back from almsround, turning on his compound to go up, he took the possibility to give some tonics. Since some month, he and his neighbor, the younger brother of Upasaka Chanroth, got heavy addiced to music, karaoke, beer... starting in the morning till late in the evening. It was now a good occation to speak on the backwards and dangers of it to him. Raising issues as it might be that many people feel disturbed and angry, the addiction like drugs, the lose of reputation, wealth... he soon replayed that he had already thought of this himself and actually rejoiced on the advices.
Some days later, the crossing of his land was always through huge underwood, leaving to the street mostly total wet, the young Upasaka silenty cleared a path through the thicket, for a most dry and pleasant walk, without even mention it to anyone as he now also focuses more on usefull things, having reduced sensual excesses as well.

May many rejoice with his silently merits.

A younger couple heard some days from villagers about the remote place and took the effort to drive from Phnom Penh on motorbike to come here. Having venerated the Gems and given tonic, and other light means for hygienic, they engaged faithfull in listening the Dhamma, question and answer sessions, for good 2, 3 h and left then joyful, in company with best pleasant weather back home.

The Chanroths family she-dog, since days surely not easy to gain food, just came up alone and enjoyed a small piece of cake the Buddhaparisata left given for the animals who might come across with hunger.

May all be able to recoice with their merits done today.

Not for sure, but yes... dhammata, Nyom. Burning, burning of the eye, burning of form (color), burning with the fibre of desire. Better just a cold.

Getting wet usually means 18h+ wet in rainy season. Sometimes such lasts for a week or more, that robes would not get dry. This one is more thin and easier to get dry.

After a wet and cold night, boiling down another time to gain further dye and not waste what's given for it, collecting fallen wood to fire around, burning it to "satisfy" the eye proper.

Boiled down well, dyed again (the abbott of the north monastery gave today, taking meal on almsround at his dwelling, a plastic washtub, Anumodana! Now possible to wring by hand more intensive through the dye, as the old has since long holes), it slowly becomes darker, dirty orange, deer-brown...

and then storm and thunder, rain... will be another wet night and challenge that the mushrooms-kinds in the cave will not seek to grow over them.
