[dic] appropriate attention

appropriate attention: Yoniso-manasikāra. Also 'proper attention': Attention on the process of birth,/becoming, aging and decay in and of itself, e.g. the depending co-arising. Although unorthodox, the word yoni (birth giver) may be of support to understand the meaning.

Appropriate attention and the hearing of the good Dhamma are the factors for gaining right view, e.g. paths (magga).1)
