Okasa Ven. Members of the Sangha,Ven. Fellows,
Buddhaparisada,
Having had shortly a matter on Nissaya (request, maintaing...) arising, receiving Bhante Ariyadhammika s compassion and care more inwardly here, my person thinks that this topic is far to less investigated in regard of modern times and not only a formal thing but like all Vinaya transactions and traditional ways, a very deep psychological, mind matter in regard of the first so unknown basic precept to gain and maintain relation, religion.
All those not having gained independency traditional seek for not losing Nissaya. While monks have certain given rituals on Uposatha, aside of required situations for renew, laypeople follow those similar every Sila-day traditional.
As the world heads into refinered realms of new medias, Nissaya and refuge could easy get lost if no need for maintaining is traced and the meaning of virtual (by action) is totally missed in a materialistic, divided identity maintaining world.
Maybe some of the Venerables and Upasaka, Upasikas, like to share their reflextions to foremost help for those most worthy of gift.
